Firefly...buzz

The Firefly Market finally came and went and wow, what an experience.  It was truly a wonderful experience prepping for it and then being a part of the actual event.  I could't have done it without the support husband and two sweet little girls.  A big thanks to my husband for all of his heaving lifting and setup time and to my friend Jennifer Mitchell for her creative influence and help with the booth as well as manning the booth with me.  It would've been lonely without you. Thanks also to my friends (you know who you are!) for coming out to support me and Firefly Handmade.

You won't want to miss it...going to be fabulous market with tons of creative, unique and well made handmade goods!  I've been working away designing and making bags, clothing & accessories.  I've got some great stuff coming, so please come on by and check it out!

Frame purses

I recently finished a frame purse I made for myself.  It proved to be more challenging then I thought it would be because of all of the bulk due to the interfacing and fusible fleece added to add structure to the bag, but it's really fun and rewarding to undertake something new and tackle the challenges associated.  I've already got some more in the works (I'll post pictures soon) and will put them in my shop as soon as I get them made.  The metal frame measures 8" across.  I think they're a fantastic size for a clutch!

Spring Fling pics!

A big thanks to all of the ladies who came to the Spring Fling Event at Holiday & Co. last Thursday night a midst the very wintry weather conditions!  Also, thank you to Holiday & Co. for including me in your event!  It was a fun evening filled with great shopping, conversation, bubbly & cupcakes.

Spring Fling!

I'm so excited for the upcoming Spring Fling at Holiday & Co. in Boulder on April 18!  I will be one of the local businesses doing a trunk show at this shopping event which starts at 6:30pm.  Come join us for some live music (DJ Tommy), bubbly, light bites and chance to win a free gift!

Here's a sneak peak at a couple of my bags...some are reversible, some are laminate (still working on the art of photographing laminate fabric).  I'll also have scarves, clutches, and children's clothing at the event.
